Grand Theft Auto IV is an action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games, released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in April 2008, and for Microsoft Windows in December 2008. The game is set within the fictional Liberty City (based on New York City), consisting of three main islands. The map size is about 8 square kilometres.
