Grand Theft Auto III is an action-adventure game developed by DMA Design and published by Rockstar Games, released in October 2001 for the PlayStation 2, in May 2002 for Microsoft Windows, and in October 2003 for the Xbox. The game is set in Liberty City, which is composed of three boroughs: Portland, Staunton Island, and Shoreside Vale.
